Using the Consumption Snapshot

The Consumption Snapshot on the Budget tab helps you compare recorded work with billing progress.

Expensed

Review the amount expensed and hours logged shown for the case. Compare these figures with the consumed amounts in Budget Summary and inspect the underlying entries in Finances when needed.

Invoiced

  • Total Invoiced: the invoice total shown for the case.
  • Paid: recorded payments reflected in the invoice totals.
  • Outstanding: the remaining invoice balance shown by the system.

Uninvoiced Expenses

This highlights expense amounts not yet invoiced under the system's calculation. A warning can prompt a review for billing delays. Confirm eligibility, approvals, rates, and supporting records before creating an invoice.

Use the figures together

Budget authorization answers how much work is allowed. Consumption answers how much usage is recorded. Invoice and payment figures describe billing progress. They do not need to be identical.

No activity yet

This message indicates that the snapshot has no activity to display. It does not grant unlimited work authorization. Review Budget Summary separately.
