Watchers highlight groups of records that may need attention. They provide operational summaries; reviewing a watcher does not resolve or change the underlying records.
Available signals
- Priority Watchers: case, event, invoice, and expense signals available to your role.
- Case Watcher: open-case due-date groups, including past due, due today, due tomorrow, future due dates, and missing due dates.
- Stale Cases: open cases without a recent update.
- Deadline Risk: overdue and near-term activity deadlines.
- Data Quality Exceptions: missing operational fields that affect the usefulness of summaries.
Work through a watcher
- Read the visible category and scope.
- Open a linked count or row where supported.
- Review the matching records before deciding what action is appropriate.
- Update the source record, such as a case due date, assignment, or activity status.
Interpret results carefully
Use the visible bucket labels and thresholds rather than assuming all widgets use the same date range. A stale-case signal is a prompt to review the case; it does not prove that no work occurred. A missing due date is different from an overdue case.
When Opportunity counts updated appears, it identifies the snapshot time for those counts. Records changed after that snapshot may differ when you open their details. Watcher summaries do not imply that an email reminder was sent.
