Using Optional AI to Describe Attachments

AI is completely optional. You can upload, link, organize, describe, and work with attachments without using AI.

Your organization's API key

AI features require your organization's own OpenAI API key, configured through the AI settings. Your data remains yours. Content submitted for AI processing is handled under the provider's terms and your account settings; using your own key does not itself guarantee zero retention.

Use AI Describe

Select an eligible uploaded attachment.
Open AI Describe when available.
Review the analysis request and run it if appropriate.
Review the suggested description, tags, and metadata.
Correct inaccuracies before applying any suggested changes.

Supported content

The current workflow supports images, PDFs, and DOCX files. Video and audio content are not analyzed by this workflow. External link attachments are not supported because CaseWyze has not stored their contents.

Access and review

AI Describe requires View Attachments and Upload/Edit Attachments on an editable case. Treat suggestions as a drafting aid and verify names, dates, observations, and conclusions against the original material.
