Uploading Files to a Case

Upload a file when you want a copy stored in CaseWyze.

Add files

  1. Open the correct case and select Attachments.
  2. Select Add Attachment > Upload File.
  3. In Upload Attachments, choose or confirm the Visibility Access Group.
  4. Select files from your device or drag them into the upload area.
  5. Review the staged files, then select Upload.
  6. Keep the page open while progress runs. Check each result and confirm the successful files appear in the case.

Before uploading

Confirm the case number, the intended audience, and the correct file version. You need Upload/Edit Attachments and an editable case. Your role may limit you to a default access group.

File limits and duplicates

Case uploads support files up to 5 GB each, subject to organization storage limits and supported file types. CaseWyze calculates a SHA-256 hash and can identify duplicate file content within the case. Review any duplicate warning before proceeding.

Files already in the cloud

You can use Add External Link instead of downloading and uploading a file from Google Drive, OneDrive, or another cloud service. That keeps the file with its provider.
