Uploading a Custom DOCX Template

Upload custom report templates from Settings > Templates, on the Document Templates page.

Upload the file

  1. Select Upload Template.
  2. In New Document Template, choose your .docx file.
  3. Wait for CaseWyze to parse it and review the detected variables.
  4. Correct any invalid or unrecognized placeholders in the source document, save it, and select the corrected file.
  5. Enter a unique Template Name and a helpful optional Description.
  6. Complete the upload.
  7. Find the new template in the list and open Template Health to test it.

Upload requirements

The file must be a parseable .docx document no larger than 10 MB. Renaming a PDF or old .doc file to .docx does not convert it. Template names must be unique within the organization.

Draft status

New uploads are saved as drafts. Uploading alone does not make a template available for regular case report generation. Run a successful test and activate it.

Variable warnings

The current uploader blocks invalid templates. Legacy-variable warnings can identify older supported placeholders that should be replaced in new templates. Use View Variables for current supported fields.

Permissions

Uploading requires Full Access and Manage Report Templates, sometimes labeled Manage Templates.
