Understanding What Transfers from an Application to Staff

The conversion dialog previews how submitted information will be stored on the destination record.

Review the mapping

Data transfer preview shows each applicant field, its submitted value, destination, and transfer mode. Review it for the selected Staff / Employee or Vendor conversion type. Not every field is stored in the same way for both routes.

Information carried forward

The mapping includes name, email, phone, address, position applied for, employment preference, availability, work history, education, skills, references, and relevant submitted answers. Some information is stored in profile fields; some is preserved in the source application details. Resumes and attachments are linked to the destination.

Items needing follow-up

Licenses and certifications are collected as a free-text summary. That summary can be retained, but it does not create fully structured license records containing license number, state, type, and expiration. Enter and verify those details separately during onboarding.

Original application and review trail

Applicant notes, status history, and conversion history remain associated with the source application. The workflow preserves that source and links it to the converted profile. Read Fields without direct destination rather than assuming a missing dedicated profile field means the original information was discarded.

After conversion, check names, contact details, documents, and the application information on the destination. Pay rates, manager assignments, and login setup still require their own review.
