Understanding Separate Roles, Permissions, and Data

Membership in several organizations does not create a shared pool of records or permissions.

What is organization-specific

Cases, clients, contacts, staff relationships, financial records, reports, and configuration belong to the selected workspace. Your role and access level are evaluated for that organization. A permission granted in one organization does not automatically apply elsewhere.

Full and Limited Access

Full Access remains subject to role permissions and access groups. Limited Access depends on assigned, linked, or otherwise permitted records in that organization. You may see different menus, dashboard content, report totals, and available actions after switching.

Assignments do not carry over

Being assigned to a case in Organization A does not assign you to a similarly named case in Organization B. The same applies to client relationships, staff managers, tasks, and events.

When information seems to disappear

Check the workspace name first, then filters and permissions. Do not recreate a case or contact merely because you switched to another organization. Switching is not an export, migration, sharing action, or authorization to copy information between organizations.
