Understanding Data & Analytics in CaseWyze

Data & Analytics turns the operational records entered in CaseWyze into reports about work, billing, expenses, scheduling, and configuration.

What the five areas cover

  • Sales Reports: invoices, open balances, payments, sales patterns, salesperson portfolios, and profit views.
  • Case Reports: case volume, aging, due-date risk, closures, reopening, status duration, and assignments.
  • Expense Reports: recorded time and expenses by case, staff, category, and billing state.
  • Calendar Reports: tasks, events, assignments, workload, and completion.
  • System Reports: client pricing overrides, invoice item defaults, and tax configuration.

Where the figures come from

Reports summarize records saved in your workspace. Their usefulness depends on accurate dates, statuses, assignments, rates, payments, and relationships. An unrecorded payment or unfinished activity cannot be assumed to appear as completed work.

Use the right reporting tool

Dashboard widgets provide operational snapshots. Data & Analytics provides report pages with filters and exports. Case report templates produce case documents and belong to the separate Reports workflow.

A practical approach

Start with a question, choose the matching report, set its date and scope, then inspect the underlying detail before acting. For example, use overdue invoice reports to identify balances needing follow-up and open the invoice to check its actual payment history.
