Troubleshooting Case Access and Unavailable Actions

If a case, tab, or action is missing, check both access and case state before creating a replacement record.

Case not found

  1. Confirm you are in the correct organization.
  2. Search by the case number and broaden the case group and status filters.
  3. Check for a draft, closed case, or a different reopened instance.
  4. Ask an authorized administrator to review your role, Full Access or assignment scope, and client/vendor relationships.

Missing tab or record

Tabs require relevant permissions. Individual updates and attachments can also be restricted by access groups. Access to the case does not guarantee access to every record within it.

Disabled button

Check the current status: closed and read-only cases restrict work. Review the permission required for the action, eligible assignees, case-type requirements, budget limits, and any message shown by the app. Workspace configuration, billing state, or MFA requirements may also affect availability.

Saving or loading failed

Record the error message and refresh to verify whether the action succeeded before repeating it. This is especially important after case creation, reopening, or deletion.
