Setting Calendar Reminders and Daily Briefings

Activity reminders and daily briefings help users keep track of assigned work.

Set an activity reminder

  1. Create or edit the task or event.
  2. Confirm the current assignee and required date or schedule.
  3. Choose a Reminder option or No reminder.
  4. Save the activity.

Task reminders

Tasks support same day, 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week before the due date at 9:00 AM in the workspace timezone. New tasks default to 1 day before.

Event reminders

Events support 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week before the scheduled start. New events default to 1 hour before. Existing activities may remain set to No reminder until edited.

Daily Briefing

Open Settings > Email & Notifications. Enable the optional Daily Briefing for email, in-app delivery, or both and choose its workspace-local delivery time. It is disabled by default; the default time is 8:00 AM.

The briefing summarizes incomplete overdue tasks, tasks due today, and upcoming events through the end of the seventh local calendar day. Empty briefings are not delivered.

When reminders are not sent

Unassigned, undated, completed, cancelled, deleted, or no-longer-accessible activities do not receive reminders. Changing the assignee or schedule invalidates a previously queued reminder. Notification preferences also affect delivery.
