Setting Activity Reminders and Daily Briefings

Activity reminders notify the assignee about a particular task or event. The optional Daily Briefing provides a broader view of upcoming and overdue work.

Set an activity reminder

  1. Create or edit the activity.
  2. Set an assignee and the relevant due date or event schedule.
  3. Choose a Reminder or select No reminder.
  4. Save the activity.

Task options include the same day, 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week before, at 9:00 AM in the workspace timezone. Event options include 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week before the start.

New tasks default to 1 day before at 9:00 AM; new events default to 1 hour before. Check older activities individually because existing records may have No reminder selected.

When reminders are not sent

Reminders are not sent for unassigned or undated activities, completed or cancelled work, deleted records, or activities the assignee can no longer access. Changing the schedule or assignee invalidates a previously queued reminder.

Enable a Daily Briefing

In Settings > Email & Notifications, enable the Daily Briefing for Email, In-App, or both, and choose a delivery time in the workspace timezone. It is off by default; the default delivery time is 8:00 AM.

The briefing includes your incomplete overdue tasks, tasks due today, and upcoming events through the end of the seventh local calendar day. Empty briefings are not delivered. If a briefing opens a restricted Activities view, select Clear briefing filter to return to the normal list.
