Managing Legal Agreement Records

Open Settings > Legal. This area requires Full Access and Manage Settings.

Legal Agreements stores and organizes client and vendor agreement records. Use it to track documents and their recorded lifecycle.

Add an agreement

  1. Select Add Legal Agreement.
  2. Choose the client or vendor agreement category and link the appropriate account/contact or vendor.
  3. Choose the Contract Type: Master Service Agreement, Data Processing Agreement, Statement of Work, Order Form, Non-Disclosure Agreement, or Other.
  4. Enter the required Title, Version, and optional Description.
  5. Upload the document and enter Effective Date and Expiration Date.
  6. Configure Auto-renews and the renewal term when relevant, then save.

Edit and review

The editor can update descriptive fields, dates, status, renewal details, and the document. Filter the list by category, type, or status to find agreements. The detail view shows linked parties, version, dates, signature information, and the stored document.

Signature records

Mark as Signed records Signed By, signer email, and signer title. Record the actual signing outcome; changing a status or entering a signer name is not a substitute for obtaining a signature.

Lifecycle

Available statuses include Draft, Sent, Pending Signature, Signed, Active, Expired, Terminated, and Superseded. Keep the record consistent with the agreement. Auto-renews is recorded contract information; it does not by itself perform a renewal transaction or send a legal notice.
