Finding and Understanding Settings

Settings controls personal preferences and shared CaseWyze workspace configuration. The navigation is grouped into Personal, Workspace, Cases, Finance, Security, and Integrations.

Find a setting

  1. Open Settings in the correct workspace.
  2. Use Find a setting to search section names and descriptions.
  3. Select the matching section. Pressing Enter opens the first match; Escape clears the search.
  4. On a small screen, expand the Settings navigation first.

Personal and shared settings

Profile preferences and notification choices apply to the current user. Organization details, roles, case configuration, billing defaults, and security policies affect shared workspace behavior. The Payroll Settings card appears under Preferences but saves workspace payroll defaults.

Access and saving

Most administrative sections require both Full Access and their specific management permission. A visible section does not mean every action is permitted. Some cards save independently; use the Save button associated with the section you changed and check its success message. Do not assume all Settings fields save automatically.

Where to start

Set organization identity and regional defaults, establish roles and access groups, then configure case types, subjects, services, statuses, calendars, and templates. Review finance and communication settings before using them with clients. AI and external integrations are optional.

Manage employees and vendors under Staff, and client accounts and contacts under Clients. Those people records are outside Settings.
