Finding and Organizing Attachments with Folders and Tags

Use folders, search, and tags to keep case materials easy to find.

Find an attachment

  1. Open the case's Attachments tab.
  2. Search for the item and use file-type or tag filters as needed.
  3. Choose All Files to broaden the view or Unfiled to see items not assigned to a folder.
  4. Use the card or list view that best suits the work.

Organize folders

Use Create New Folder to establish a folder. Use Edit Folder for available folder changes and Move to Folder to organize attachments. These controls require the relevant edit permissions.

Deleting a folder moves its files to Unfiled; it does not delete the files inside.

Use meaningful details

Choose clear attachment names and descriptions. Add consistent tags such as a document category or work stage. Use related-subject information where the workflow offers it to connect material to its context.

Missing files

Clear search and filters, check All Files, and confirm the case instance. Visibility access groups can hide an attachment even when you can open the case. A folder is an organizational tool, not a substitute for visibility permissions.
