Exporting Finance Records and Using Financial Reports

Use list exports for transaction detail and financial reports for a broader view of activity.

Export a list

  1. Open the relevant Expenses, Invoices, Retainers, or other finance list.
  2. Set the case, date, status, entry-type, and search filters offered by that page.
  3. Review the visible records and use Export when available.
  4. Choose an offered format, such as CSV or PDF, and inspect the output for the intended date range, columns, and record scope.

Use financial reports

Data & Analytics includes expense and sales reporting views for analyzing financial records. Check report filters, units, and status definitions before comparing totals. Expense reporting concerns recorded work and costs; sales reporting concerns client billing. They should not be expected to match automatically.

Permissions and interpretation

Exports are limited to records you can access and may require Export Data permission. Do not assume an export contains every workspace record or only the current page; inspect the generated output and the page's export options.

Case report templates in the Reports topic serve a different purpose from finance list exports. Keep the report's date and filter context with the exported file so another reader can understand the figures.

Access and availability

The controls you see depend on your permissions, access to the case, the case status, and the entry's review, invoice, and payment state. If an action is missing, ask your CaseWyze administrator to check these conditions.
