Entering a New Case

Use the new-case wizard to enter a case directly in CaseWyze. You need Add Cases and the supporting permissions required by the information you add.

Create the case

  1. Open Cases and select New Case.
  2. In Case Info, choose the case type first. Review the generated case number, client account and contact where applicable, description, reference fields, due date, and any required budget information.
  3. In Services, select the work the case requires.
  4. In Subjects, add at least one subject and designate a Primary Subject. The wizard uses the primary subject to set the case title.
  5. Use Updates to enter initial notes, Activities to plan work, and Attachments to add supporting materials as needed.
  6. Open Review and check the information across all steps.
  7. Select Approve & Create Case. Wait for confirmation and review the resulting case.

Before approving

Check the client and contact carefully, confirm the primary subject, and resolve any required-field or permission messages. Case type settings can require a due date or budget and limit services or subject types.

Finish later

The wizard uses a saved draft. Exit through its controls and resume that draft from Cases instead of starting a duplicate.
