Editing Attachment Details and Cloud Links

Edit descriptive information to make an attachment easier to identify and find. Editing requires Upload/Edit Attachments and an editable case.

Edit an attachment

Open the case's Attachments tab and find the item.
Open the attachment's actions menu and select Edit.
In Edit Attachment, review the Details tab.
Update the Name, Description, comma-separated Tags, or available visibility settings.
For an external attachment, update External URL if the destination has changed.
Select Save Changes and verify the result.

Details versus file contents

Changing a name or description does not edit the contents of an uploaded document. Use Replace File (creates a new version) for a revised uploaded file. Edit a cloud document in its own provider.

Changing a link

Verify the new HTTPS destination and its provider permissions. Changing the CaseWyze URL does not move or copy the original file. External link attachments do not support uploaded-file version replacement.

Visibility

Only choose access groups available to your role. Changing visibility in CaseWyze does not change the sharing permissions of the linked cloud file.
