Delete a subject only when its profile should be permanently removed, such as an incorrect or duplicate record.
Deletion cannot be undone. It permanently removes the subject profile, stored SSN, subject attachment records, and relationships. Uploaded files remain in storage; deleting the subject is not a file-storage purge.
If finance, service, or case-attachment records reference the subject, remove or reassign those links before trying to delete it. You need Delete Subjects permission, access to the case, and a case that allows changes.
Review the message for linked records, permission restrictions, or a case that is not writable. If deletion times out or cannot be confirmed, refresh the list before trying again.
If only the connection is incorrect, use Unlink in Linked Entities or delete the relationship from the matrix. Unlinking does not delete either subject.
Archived records: Previously archived subjects can be found with the Archived filter. Restoring an archived subject is different from recovering a permanently deleted subject.
