Case deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Use a completion, cancellation, or closed status when you need to retain the case history.
Confirm the case number and instance, review your organization's retention requirements, and preserve any records you are required to keep. Check related or reopened cases and downstream financial records.
Case subjects, updates, activities, budgets, reports, and attachment records are deleted. Linked intake requests remain and show that their case was deleted. Separate invoices, time entries, and expense entries remain, with their case link removed.
Related or reopened cases can block deletion. Review the displayed message with an authorized administrator before removing additional records. Missing Delete Cases permission or inaccessible records can also prevent deletion.
If CaseWyze cannot confirm deletion, refresh the list to check the current state before trying again. Do not assume a connection error means nothing was deleted.
