Creating and Sharing an Investigator Application Form

Use Settings > Public Forms to create the public link investigators use to apply.

Create the form

  1. Open Settings > Public Forms with Manage Job Application Forms permission.
  2. Start a new form and give it a descriptive name, such as Investigator Application.
  3. Choose Job Application as the Form Type. The type of an existing form is fixed, so do not repurpose a Case Request form.
  4. Review the unique URL Slug, Active setting, and Public Access setting.
  5. Configure Branding and Notifications, then choose Create Form.
  6. Use the saved form's public-link control to inspect it, then copy the exact generated URL for your recruitment page or applicant communications.

Explain the purpose

Use Header Instructions to describe the positions or opportunities the form serves and what applicants should have ready. Set a Success Message that acknowledges receipt without promising a job or system access. Branding can include your logo, organization details, color, and theme.

Application fields differ from case intake

The Job Application editor uses General, Branding, and Notifications. The configurable Fields tab belongs to Case Request forms; do not expect those case-intake field switches to customize the application questionnaire.

Pause recruitment

Deactivate the form to stop new submissions temporarily. Review existing applicants separately. Changing the slug can affect previously shared links, so verify the current link after any change.
