Creating an Internal Case Request for a Client

Staff can record intake information on behalf of a client while keeping the same review process used for public submissions.

Start the request

  1. Open Case Requests and choose New Case Request.
  2. Enter or select the client information offered by the internal workflow and confirm the contact person.
  3. Complete the case type, requested services, reference, budget information, and instructions as applicable.
  4. Add the relevant subjects and supporting files.
  5. Review the summary for accuracy and submit the request.

Why use an internal request?

For example, a client may call your office and describe new work. Your coordinator can record the details immediately without asking the client to repeat everything in a public form. The manager can then review the same intake record before committing to the work.

What happens next

The internal request still needs review and acceptance before it becomes a case. Creating it does not bypass client matching, permissions, or approval. Use the request number to coordinate follow-up and find the record again.

Access requirements

Internal creation requires Full Access and Manage Request Forms. If New Case Request is missing, ask an administrator to check those permissions. If the work already has a request, open that record instead of entering another copy.
