Collecting Request Files and Transferring Them into a Case

Public forms can collect supporting files, and the acceptance workflow copies eligible request files into the resulting case.

Configure uploads

  1. Open the case request form's Fields tab.
  2. Review File Upload visibility and whether it is required.
  3. Set the offered Max File Size and Allowed File Types rules.
  4. Save and inspect the public form's displayed upload requirements.

Review incoming files

Open the request's Files tab and check that the documents support the requested work. Uploading a file with a request does not immediately place it in an active case because the case does not yet exist.

What acceptance does

When the request is accepted, CaseWyze copies uploaded request files into case attachments through the conversion workflow. Acceptance requires Upload Files permission when files are present. The organization-level Public Case Request Access Group applies to public request files transferred into a case; review that setting before using public uploads.

Check transfer results

The case can be created while some file transfers are still pending or have failed. Read any warning, inspect the request's file statuses, and compare with the new case's Attachments. Do not assume an Approved request means every file transferred successfully. Avoid creating another case to solve a file-transfer problem; retain the request number and contact support with the affected file details.
