Accepting a Case Request and Creating the Case

Acceptance is the decision that turns a reviewed intake request into an operational case.

Before accepting

Confirm the client match, contact, case type, services, instructions, subjects, and files. The accepting user becomes the initial Case Manager, so the person performing this action must be eligible for that role.

Create the case

  1. Open the reviewed request.
  2. Choose the acceptance action to open Accept Case Request.
  3. Read the confirmation and check the matched client.
  4. Select Accept & Create Case and wait for completion.
  5. Open the resulting case and verify its client, manager, subjects, and attachments.

What changes

The request becomes Approved and links to the created case. CaseWyze creates the case, assigns the accepting user as its initial Case Manager, transfers subject information, and processes the uploaded request files. The request remains useful as the intake and decision record.

Permissions and permanence

Acceptance can require Full Access, Approve/Decline Requests, Add Cases, Assign/Unassign Case Users, Can Be Case Manager, and—when relevant—Add Subjects and Upload Files. A matched client is required.

Approval cannot be reversed from the request page. If the work later stops, use the appropriate case status workflow. Read transfer warnings and check the linked case before retrying an uncertain acceptance to avoid duplicate work.
